The three ingredients

KDF-55 is a copper-zinc alloy that converts free chlorine into harmless chloride through a redox reaction, and it keeps working in hot water — where carbon alone starts to fade.

Activated carbon catches what's left behind: chloramine, organic compounds, and the chemical smell that comes with them.

Calcium sulfite handles chlorine at the flow rate a shower actually runs at, which is where single-media filters fall short.

How to install it

Unscrew your shower head or hose from the wall arm by hand — no tools needed.

Wrap the thread on the arm with two turns of the PTFE tape included in the box, then screw the filter on and hand-tighten.

Screw your shower head back onto the other end of the filter, tape that thread too, and hand-tighten again.

Run the shower for two minutes before the first use. A little dark water is normal — that's loose carbon dust clearing out, and it stops on its own.
